Creekside Performance Centers provides a wide variety of diversified adjusting techniques in order to make sure each patient is comfortable and confident that each treatment is safe and effective. Our goal with the chiropractic adjustment is to restore proper motion to each joint in order to help patients achieve as close to perfect biomechanical function as possible. Our doctors have years of training and experience in spinal and extremity adjusting.
Active Release Technique (ART)
Active Release Technique is a manual therapy that is administered by trained professionals to certain soft tissue structures of the body. The ART soft tissue management system is based on scientific evidence that muscles, nerves, blood vessels, and connective tissue can develop adhesions within and between them as a result of various injuries. The goal of ART is to improve mobility by treating adhesions.
Dr. Tislau is the Sheboygan area's only source for certified Active Release Techniques® treatment. He is not only full body certified, but also has undergone extensive training and testing to become certified as part of the ART® Elite Provider Network. Patients can rest assured they are receiving treatment from an expert in soft tissue care. Dr. Tislau has successfully treated patients with a variety of conditions ranging from office workers to Champion Ironman Athletes. Please feel free to contact our office to setup a consultation with Dr. Tislau and find out if ART® is the right treatment for you.
Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM)
IASTM is a soft tissue therapy that is used primarily to break up adhesions and scar tissue that has formed under the skin and in the muscle tissue after an injury. Some of the advantages of IASTM are: decreased time of treatment, faster recovery, reduced need for anti-inflammatory medicine, reduction of chronic conditions that were thought to be permanent. Dr. Tislau has received advanced training in Graston technique (a form of IASTM) to learn how and when to use IASTM effectively, with the goal of returning you to 100% as quickly as possible. Creekside Performance Center is one of the only chiropractic offices in Sheboygan that provides IASTM.
Rehabilitation exercises are designed to facilitate recovery from illness, injury, or disease. As trained experts in anatomy and biomechanics, our doctors often prescribe specific exercises or stretches in order to optimize each patient’s proper anatomy and/or biomechanics. Following a prescription of exercises can be important in order to achieve each patient’s goals as quickly and effectively as possible.
